I'm going to make this blog fun and start adding a combo of things beginning with updates about my new business and everything else going on around me. For starters, Charlie bought a new house. So congratulations to him on his new purchase. I'm super happy for him. My friend Ranya moved to China and now my only way of communication with her is via facebook, skype or email so still trying to adjust to communicating through all those online options. I'd much rather have her here. On the bright side, Ames came to visit this past month and finally got to meet baby Jonas! The most cutest baby ever! </a><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;font-size:180%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">The business:</span></span><br />My business is growing. I'm really blessed to be where I am in such short time. I honestly can't complain. We've been fortunate to grow in such short time but hard work is slowly paying off. Kelly and I have been working our tails off so we hope to be bigger and better in a few years. For now, we will continue to work hard and focus on expanding. We also offer ASL classes every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church for $50.00 dollars. Its an 8 week course, starting with basic ASL. It will work as a semester course so this class will go up to ASL 4. Please spread the word and if you're interested we welcome you to join us. Please visit our website at www.kelmarserviceshouston.com Our website is a work in progress but please log on for updates.<br /><br />I've started to twitter, not sure how it works but seems as though many people are on and why not join them. So if you tweet please look me up! You can look me up by my email iluvcharlie7@hotmail.com Seems to be the big thing to do and still growing. I did it more to follow the Housewives of New Jersey.. of course my favorite show. So if you don't follow me, follow these fab women!<br /><br />To conclude my blog, I will ask that you guys pray for my family and I. My mom beat cancer and is going through chemo therapy. My mom is strong and so are we so we will get through this one way or another!<br /><br /><br />xoxox<br />MarisolPink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-49892116162490335082010-02-09T00:07:00.002-06:002010-02-09T00:23:07.210-06:00What's NewI quit <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">IKON</span>! Yep, I finally did it. January 4<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">th</span> was my last day. February 4<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">th</span> marked my one month anniversary as a business owner. It feels great... I always said I refuse to work for someone the rest of my life and I finally did it. Although there have been some challenges, its going great!<br /><br />So what kind of business did I open??? Well I started my own job placement agency for the deaf and hard of hearing. We offer job placement services, job coaching, interpreting services and job employment support. I'm not alone on all this, I have a great business partner name Kelly Reagan who has been working her butt off to make it all happen as well. So I"m going to give her credit. I have to congratulate us because yesterday we placed our first client...our hard work has finally paid off!! But it doesn't stop there. We have a great amount of clients waiting for the same success story. I hope we're able to place them all! Or should I say... We will place them all. (I refuse to spit out negative as we start our business)<br /><br />What else is new??? Carlos is going to be a home owner!!! February 19<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">th</span> Carlos closes on his house and I'm so excited for him. This weekend we went furniture shopping...it was lots of fun! And for all of you who are wondering if I"m moving in...NO I'M NOT!...<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Lol</span> However, I'm super excited for him.<br /><br />I'm going to start blogging again (or so I think I am) My friends have asked "whatever happened to you blogging?" Well it gets to become a task and I put it off like a lot of other tasks...<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">lol</span> However, for the sake of keeping those who I don't see all the time updated... I will start blogging again. Summer is coming up so stay tuned for the next addition of "What <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Da</span>" pics. I can't wait!<br /><br />p.s.<br />I"m accepting all "what da" pics as I prepare my posts for the yearPink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-52239489305243209372009-10-02T12:55:00.004-05:002009-10-07T15:45:25.904-05:00What's been going on....I get on a "blog" roll and then I start to slack and right now I think I'm in my slacking mode so because my boss is out of the office I"m going to take this opportunity to blog a bit about what's been going on.<br /><br /><br />I finally applied to take my <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">BEI</span> Test to become a certified interpreter. My test is November 30<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">th</span>. Although the failing rate is 80%, I'm gonna give it a shot and do my best. I just hope I don't become part of that 80% failing rate. <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Unfortunately</span>, if I fail I will have to wait 6 months before I can test again and pay another $75 dollars!!... So hello? I"m gonna get my study on!<br /><br />Two of my friends are pregnant.. Amy is now pregnant and guess what she's having???? A BOY! We sort of knew it but we were hoping for a girl. (only so we <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">could</span> craft some awesome things for her) Now Amiga on the other hand (aka Linda) is having a girl and is due almost any day now!...<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">lol</span> She's about 2 notches from popping and I think she's super ready to meet her new baby. I'm also excited to meet Priscilla too! Can't wait till both of these girls have their baby!!!<br /><br /><br />Last weekend we celebrated James' birthday (<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Ranya's</span> bf) and we had a blast. Dinner was at this spot in Richmond, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Tx</span> name Larry's and then we hit Loggia in <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">Sugarland</span>. Its a really cool spot, the atmosphere is great and the music is awesome. They have huge beer tubes that are so worth drinking out of...Just ask James :)<br /><br />I'm still waiting for my background check to clear so that <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">DARS</span> can start sending us clients and our business can get rolling. So <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">that's</span> still on hold. Then I got some sad news that a good friend of mine will be going back to Venezuela on the 20<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">th</span> so <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">that's</span> a BUMMER! I hate to see her go but now I'll have to go visit her in Venezuela. Te <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12">miro</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_13">el</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_14">año</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_15">que</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_16">entra</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_17">chamita</span>!!!<br /><br />Last but not least, we are leaving tomorrow to celebrate my 28TH birthday in New Orleans! It should be lots of fun. It's not that big of a group this time but it's a great group of people going so that's all that mattes. I want to thank my family for having dinner and cupcakes yesterday and all the great gifts I got. Thanks for always <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_18">acknowledging</span> my day! :) Love <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_19">ya'll</span>!Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-47616073120793857132009-09-11T11:33:00.002-05:002009-09-11T17:05:35.893-05:00Labor DayDon't you just enjoy 4 day weekends? I know I look forward to them and of course all fun that comes with it. The fab four (Trina, Aldo, Charlie and I) went to the river for the last time this summer only to be disappointed by the very very very water! Literally you could count the amount of people floating. There wasn't the usual long line of people trying to get into their camp site. So we decided to not to float and head out to Canyon Lake only to discover that too was dry!! However we did make the best of it and had a ball either way!! We managed to still swim a bit.<br /><br />Interview Update: Well, the interview went fine. (I guess) He would like to have me shadow him for a while until I get the hang of things. For now I will be working with him on Tues & Thurs until I can get the hang of the job. He said he didn't want to just throw me out there. I guess this is good and bad. I was ready to leave Ikon but at the same time I'll get to test the waters and see if this is something I'd want to do.<br /><br />On a better note. I finally had a meeting with DARS to get my business started. I am hoping to start my own job placement agency for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing. I have turned in all paper work and now waiting on my background check so that I can get started. Please keep me in your prayers so that my "soon to be" business will kick off.<br />I'm also working on finding hearing aid companies who are willing to donate hearing aids to foreign countries and free audiology test. Most children are left behind in the education system due to lack of hearing aids(because in foreign countries they aren't free like in the US) or deaf education. Unfortunately, a lot of children are put to work because they are considered "deaf and dumb" After so many years you would think that "label" would fade but it still exist. I know I can't change the world but I want to do whatever little I can to help. So if I can have some helping hands I will take all the help I can get. :)<br /><br />P.S.<br />Leslie this means u. You can offer counseling for these children in foreign countries who experience trauma but can't afford to talk to someone...great way to give back! :)<br /><br />So that's the update for the week. I'm so glad its Friday. Tomorrow is my little cousin's 3rd birthday and can't wait to celebrate with her :)<br /><br />Till I blog again... have a great weekend!<br /><a href="http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/?action=view&current=Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" src="http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" border="1" /></a>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-63591818165553579662009-09-02T13:17:00.004-05:002009-09-02T13:58:11.602-05:00Some new and old updates....I've slacked a little on my blog so here I am updating everyone on whats been going on.<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:130%;">August:</span></strong> Well, Charlie and I took another one of our weekend trips and this time not to the river but to New Orleans to celebrate my friend Jennifer's birthday. It was a blast partially because we went in a large group. It was ... Ranya & James (aka Jamal & Latika) Jennifer & Mike (voted cutest couple) Jessica & Robert( or should we say Roberto) and of course Charlie & I (The Piggly Wiggly's) and it was a great mix of people. We literally partied till the morning and we have a book full of stories but as we(the group) promised.... What happens in NOLA stays in NOLA! But her are a few pics just to show how much fun we had!<br /><div><div><div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-UXIzG1I/AAAAAAAAAqc/gWGlKNTl7FI/s1600-h/cars-grp.JPG"></a> </div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376944262144531282" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-UXIzG1I/AAAAAAAAAqc/gWGlKNTl7FI/s320/cars-grp.JPG" border="0" /></div><div><strong><span style="font-size:130%;">Interview:</span></strong> Last week I had the opportunity to interview with Sorenson. I was referred by an old teacher of mine and I'm always so grateful for her, she brings a lot of opportunities my way. It went well(i think) because I have a second interview this Friday at 9 am to demonstrate my skills. Basically he told me that if he's not going to tell his boss I am hearing I better be a... and I quote " damn good signer" So with that said, I am super nervous and now intimidated. Once again I will ask for some you all to pray for me and wish me LOTS of luck!<br /><br /></div><div><strong>Conceal Handgun License:</strong> I am now an official CHL holder! I am licensed to carry a GUN! Yes, little bitty me can now carry a weapon! I was super excited and nervous but it was all worth it. I scored a 226 on my shooting test and a perfect score is a 250. My sis also took the class and she also passed with a score of 219. So we both are some bad asses..lol </div><div> </div><div><br />My weapon , courtesy of Charlie!<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VRoBMqI/AAAAAAAAAqs/1LX_ap0scKM/s1600-h/IMG_1891.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376944277844734626" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 165px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 190px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VRoBMqI/AAAAAAAAAqs/1LX_ap0scKM/s320/IMG_1891.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-UysHniI/AAAAAAAAAqk/dw9wysnsVgU/s1600-h/IMG_1888.jpg"></a> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>My score!<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VRoBMqI/AAAAAAAAAqs/1LX_ap0scKM/s1600-h/IMG_1891.jpg"></a></div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VRoBMqI/AAAAAAAAAqs/1LX_ap0scKM/s1600-h/IMG_1891.jpg"></a> </div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-UysHniI/AAAAAAAAAqk/dw9wysnsVgU/s1600-h/IMG_1888.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376944269540433442" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 249px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-UysHniI/AAAAAAAAAqk/dw9wysnsVgU/s320/IMG_1888.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-Vyy5ptI/AAAAAAAAAq8/_Bva9-MlfAI/s1600-h/DSC06601.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376944286748747474" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 244px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 177px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-Vyy5ptI/AAAAAAAAAq8/_Bva9-MlfAI/s320/DSC06601.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VRoBMqI/AAAAAAAAAqs/1LX_ap0scKM/s1600-h/IMG_1891.jpg"></a></div><div> </div><div>Jojo just now learning how to shoot!...lol</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VtSiLpI/AAAAAAAAAq0/ugHaAqRqbcw/s1600-h/DSC06602.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376944285270814354" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 225px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 165px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sp6-VtSiLpI/AAAAAAAAAq0/ugHaAqRqbcw/s320/DSC06602.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div>Look at my sister... target shooter!</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>There you have it... all that in the month of August. I interpreted at my first wedding ceremony. Two of the speeches I received ahead of time but the other two were emailed to me the day off. That was certainly a challenge but most defiantly a learning experience.<br /><br /></div><div>The bride's father is deaf, my teacher and her husband are also deaf so I had to stand in an area where all three could see me (which meant in front where everyone else could see me). Of course that made me shy but I was trying to not think about it too much. At the beginning it was a bit hard because the person was talking so fast and it was hard to keep up. I was next to the speaker so I heard a lot of echo and it was hard to understand the person speaking. So with that said... I missed a lot of information! Finally I just let them know that I couldn't understand because of the echo and I was moved to a more comfortable area! It was obvious I couldn't hear or understand because they were all quick to tell me that my move made a difference. </div><div> </div><div>I was under the impression only 4 people were going to give a speech but instead it turned out to be more than 4. I thought to myself.. "God, please let me interpret right at this girl's wedding, this is her day and if these people don't understand me, thats going to really suck!!!" There were some parts I did miss, I tried catching up as fast as I could. At times it got rough because some family members had heavy accents and some words weren't pronounced correctly. Regardless I got through it.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SndZuHe7WFI/AAAAAAAAAqM/KhNxy27nF-M/s1600-h/IMG00113.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365856129852856402" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 256px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SndZuHe7WFI/AAAAAAAAAqM/KhNxy27nF-M/s320/IMG00113.JPG" border="0" /></a>There was one time when a friend of the family stood up to say a poem and next thing you know he started to speak in their language. I sort of froze and just stood there dumb-founded... and signed .." He is speaking another language"...they just laughed at me, I must have had a confused look!</div><div> </div><div>Next the bride and groom were to do what would be considered their first "dance" as husband and wife but instead they "interpreted" their song for her father to understand. It was SOOOO awesome, they did an awesome job. Super unique and it was so nice to see how this girl made sure her father was included in everything.<br />Over all the wedding was AWESOME! Lots of color and very traditional. The women's dresses were beautiful. The fabric and beading of these dresses were super elegant! Not to mention, the jewelry was beautiful as well! I had a blast. Here are a few pics that I took with my phone, I was so worried about arriving late to the reception that I forgot my camera. (and yes I did get there on time)..lol </div><div></div><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SndZufRTrVI/AAAAAAAAAqU/w9ij97EnqIU/s1600-h/IMG00110.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365856136238181714" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 256px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SndZufRTrVI/AAAAAAAAAqU/w9ij97EnqIU/s320/IMG00110.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><br /></div><div><a href="http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/?action=view&current=Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" target="_blank"></a> </div></div>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-45444121546795106122009-07-24T08:29:00.005-05:002009-07-24T09:51:00.846-05:00Charlie's Birthday & MoreThis past weekend we went to New Braunfels (yes again) to celebrate Charlie's birthday. I'm dating an old man now... he's officially the BIG 3-0!!...lol We had a great time. We are fortunate to have a great friend (Trina) who has a place for us to stay when we go out there not to mention she is one of the best cooks! Let me just tell ya'll the menu she had for us when we went out there... Friday night we had pork-pull sandwiches. The meat was so tender! The flavor it had was insane and the sides, well thats a whole other story. Then Saturday night she cooked steak & shrimp! OMG...that too was FINGER-LICKING GOOD!!! I know you think I'm exaggerating cause she's my friend but trust me when I say her cooking is insane! Carlos alone ate 5 steaks! The steaks were so soft, it didnt seem as though you were eating a steak. No trouble cutting it, you didnt have to use a knife! Omg, just yummy! We're all on a mission to give Trina a ring so she can come live with us and cook every night!! Lucky for Miranda she lives downstairs from her and gets hotmeals almost every night!...lol Anyhow, we had a great time and can't thank Trina enough! Can't wait for next year!<br /><br />In other news, my mom is in Lebanon for a month! Although sometimes my mom and I have our differences, I miss her. She's only been gone for 6 days but it's pretty lonely without her. So I've been bombarding Carlos with my presense for the last few days :)! I'm sure he's ready for me to go but I hate staying alone ...ok, ok I'm scared to be home alone...lol I've lived on my own before but for the last 4 years I've lived with my mom and I guess you can say "I"m not longer useto staying alone"..lol I'll be ok, just sucks!.....<br /><br />Yesterday I had interview with CAAG. It was a bit unexpected. A friend of mine called me over the weekend and told me about an opening as an "interpreter coordinator" I really didnt think much of it since I was out of town and really had not access to a computer.Anyhow, so I finally decided to email them on yesterday and sent my resume. I got an instant call back and he said that yesterday was the cut off and if I could come in for an interview. Of course I said yes, I think I did well! They will make their cuts next week and will pick 3. Then final 3 will go in for an interview(individualy of course) with a panal of 8 people and then they'll make their final decision. Please pray that I am one of the FINAL 3 picked and most importantly the person they want for the job! Wish me luck!!!!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/?action=view&current=Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" src="http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" border="1" /></a>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-18902155959038256432009-07-14T07:06:00.016-05:002009-07-14T07:51:48.254-05:00Best Pools around the WorldIf you live in Texas you know that we've had ZERO rain. You'll go through neighborhoods and notice most people's yards are brown rather than green.... Houston is in need for some major rain. But to cool everyone off, I thought I'd show ya'll the top 10 pools around the world, located in different hotels. Aren't they awesome!?<br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx7xXI1yHI/AAAAAAAAAps/L2LIqnxrvmo/s1600-h/tokyo.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358293744618948722" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx7xXI1yHI/AAAAAAAAAps/L2LIqnxrvmo/s320/tokyo.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: Park Hyatt Tokyo<br />Why It's Cool: Sure, Bill Murray took a dip here in Lost in Translation, but it's the view from this sleek, 47th-floor swimming pool that's truly remarkable: Floor-to-ceiling windows frame jaw-dropping vistas of Tokyo, and even venerable Mount Fuji, while the steel-and-glass pyramid-shaped ceiling floods the pool with natural light. The 65-foot-long, four-lane pool is striking at night, too, when the city's skyscrapers light up.<br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358287634654965506" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx2Ntv6LwI/AAAAAAAAAoM/qAxI240kcbI/s320/worldslargestpool.jpg" border="0" />Hotel: San Alfonso del Mar, Algarrobo, Chile<br />Why It's Cool: You can take small sailboats out on this saltwater pool that Guinness World Records calls the largest in the world. At two thirds of a mile in length, the massive stretch of water has room for several man-made sand beaches. For nighttime swimming, head to the temperature-controlled beach inside the pool's centrally located glass pyramid—the water and the sand are heated.</div><br /><br /><div><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx2oUm-myI/AAAAAAAAAoU/PEP38qEcClI/s1600-h/italy.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358288091763088162" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx2oUm-myI/AAAAAAAAAoU/PEP38qEcClI/s320/italy.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: Hotel Caruso Belvedere, Ravello, Italy Why It's Cool: The Hotel Caruso Belvedere is set at the highest point in the sun-splashed Amalfi Coast town of Ravello, so the open-air infinity pool offers unobstructed, panoramic views of one of the world's most dramatic coastlines—and the sea beyond. It doesn't hurt that the pool itself is flanked by 11th-century Roman ruins.<br /></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx4Cj-lt9I/AAAAAAAAAos/fxQ-iEYRhIs/s1600-h/india.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358289642076878802" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx4Cj-lt9I/AAAAAAAAAos/fxQ-iEYRhIs/s320/india.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, India Why It's Cool: In a massive, 347-room palace overlooking the Blue City of Jodhpur in the Indian state of Rajasthan, this serene, temperature-controlled swimming basin takes advantage of natural candlelight—with rose petals sometimes strewn on the surface. The hotel is run by the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, which shares the property with the palace's owner, the Maharaja of Jodhpur—who has been known to swim laps with the guests from time to time.</div><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx300bCKeI/AAAAAAAAAok/KVYIsNiAhZ4/s1600-h/miami.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358289405972982242" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 221px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx300bCKeI/AAAAAAAAAok/KVYIsNiAhZ4/s320/miami.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div>Hotel: Viceroy Miami</div><div>Why It's Cool: In a city loaded with cool pools, the recently opened pool at the Viceroy stands out. The two-acre pool deck—with Japanese blueberry trees and swanky chaise lounges and beds—features three types of pools: an 80-person hot tub, a wading pool, and a football-field-size swimming pool. Perhaps coolest of all, it's 15 floors above the street, with in-the-middle-of-it-all views of downtown Miami and glimpses of Biscayne Bay in the distance.<br /></div></div><div><br /><br /><br /></div><div><br /><br /></div><div> </div><div><br /> </div><div> </div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx-QVw_X9I/AAAAAAAAAp8/lSV9JO3rpLQ/s1600-h/hongkong.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358296475849678802" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx-QVw_X9I/AAAAAAAAAp8/lSV9JO3rpLQ/s320/hongkong.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: InterContinental Hong Kong</div><div>Why It's Cool: Set on the third floor of the InterContinental Hong Kong, the hotel's three pools—two hot and one cold, but all with underwater music piped in—give the almost unnerving illusion that you're floating in Victoria Harbor. After your swim, park yourself in one of the poolside cabanas and gaze out at Hong Kong's skyline.</div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div><div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx4WzwzjfI/AAAAAAAAAo0/8XXUWZk_yBk/s1600-h/lasVegas.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358289989911416306" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx4WzwzjfI/AAAAAAAAAo0/8XXUWZk_yBk/s320/lasVegas.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: Golden Nugget, Las Vegas<br />Why It's Cool: You'll swim with five species of sharks (16 sharks in all) at the Nugget's $30 million pool complex. The Tank, as it's called, houses a three-story waterslide, waterfalls, and the pool's pièce de resistance, the 200,000-gallon shark tank. You're in more danger at the Golden Nugget's roulette wheel: The sharks, stingrays, massive Queensland grouper, and silvery jack crevalle are separated from the swimming pool by a four-inch clear acrylic wall.</div><div><br /> </div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx8VFumw8I/AAAAAAAAAp0/rrp_7O2piLQ/s1600-h/singapore.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358294358420800450" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx8VFumw8I/AAAAAAAAAp0/rrp_7O2piLQ/s320/singapore.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: Quincy Hotel, Singapore</div><div>Why It's Cool: This brand-new, glass-enclosed pool is cantilevered from the 12th floor of the futuristic-looking Quincy Hotel, suspending swimmers high above the passing cars and pedestrians at street level. At night, special lighting effects make the pool appear to glow. Bask and swim for a bit, then retire to one of the rattan chairs at poolside for a nap</div><div><br /></div><div><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx65gpaPfI/AAAAAAAAApc/z3QTSihw7mI/s1600-h/MuttrahOman.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358292785098800626" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx65gpaPfI/AAAAAAAAApc/z3QTSihw7mI/s320/MuttrahOman.jpg" border="0" /></a> Hotel: Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat, Muttrah, Oman</div><div>Why It's Cool: After an extensive 18-month renovation, this InterContinental property in Oman recently reopened with a major pool upgrade—which the roving pool butlers (you heard us) are more than happy to tell you about, after refreshing your rose-scented spritzer. The spacious, 164-foot-long infinity pool is flanked by shady, palm-studded islands. The water is temperature controlled, so it's always an oasis-like 84 degrees<br /></div><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx6v9rEmpI/AAAAAAAAApU/m7Em3ggwLcw/s1600-h/thailand.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358292621091707538" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 221px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Slx6v9rEmpI/AAAAAAAAApU/m7Em3ggwLcw/s320/thailand.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hotel: Anantara Koh Samui Resort & Spa, Samui, Thailand</div><div>Why It's Cool: You look straight out into the Gulf of Thailand from the 98-foot-long infinity pool at this stylish resort on the island of Samui, Thailand. If the views aren't soothing enough, order a stiff drink at the swim-up bar and laugh it off with the comical, spitting monkey statues along the pool's perimeter.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /><br /><br />So there you have it... From 1-10 the top pools around the world. I'm disappointed as to what their marriage has turned to. I really thought they were a great couple even though Kate was a "boss hog" but they managed to make it happen. You could tell Jon loved his wife and Kate loved her husband. Now, Jon claims to just have enough of Kate's controlling ways and he wants out. ...its more like he wants to be single and free again. Not worry about 8 kids and now he gets to stay at home. Yet he tries to act like he wants to work again because staying at home was not what he wanted. Yeah we can really see that Jon...sporting all his new toy, new luxury apartment in NY and now his cute new girlfriend. Anyhow, I wanted to share this little article about good ol' Jon. Why is it that men can get up and go and start all over with no worries and women are always stuck figuring out ways to continue to make their kids happy, finding way to make their life easier, playing the mother, friend and father role (because the father has decided that since he divorced the wife he divorced his children too) I"m not speaking of all men but the majority seem to find the easy way out. Too bad women can't do the same!~<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/?action=view&current=Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" target="_blank">Just weeks after </a><a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20286975,00.html">splitting</a><a href="http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/?action=view&current=Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" target="_blank"> from his wife of 10 years, Jon Gosselin is back in the spotlight with a new career and a new girlfriend. Gosselin, 32, turned up in St. Tropez hand-in-hand with Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the plastic </a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SltThmWJzeI/AAAAAAAAAn8/kTulio5HmG8/s1600-h/jon-gosselin-1-300x400.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357968018381589986" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SltThmWJzeI/AAAAAAAAAn8/kTulio5HmG8/s320/jon-gosselin-1-300x400.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad29/retrolove80/?action=view&current=Marisolnewblogsignatureminusshadow.png" target="_blank">surgeon who performed Kate’s tummy tuck in 2006. The lovebirds spent the weekend along the French Riviera so Gosselin could finalize a deal to design his own line of children’s clothing with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. Glassman will also have a hand in creating the kid-friendly fashions. “She’ll have a lot of input with Christian,” Gosselin told PEOPLE of Hailey’s involvement. “And I will, too.” And don’t forget the plus eight — Gosselin tells PEOPLE that his eight kids, who spent the weekend with Kate at the family’s Pennsylvania home, will model his designs in ads for the line. Audigier tells PEOPLE that he approached Gosselin with the idea after noticing that the reality show dad often wore his tattoo-inspired T-shirts on Jon and Kate Plus Eight. “He’s huge,” says the French designer, who may also collaborate with Gosselin on a specialty motorcycle collection. “Everyone knows this family. And everyone will know our clothes. They’ll be fun, easy clothes for kids.” But it wasn’t all work for Jon and Hailey. During the extended weekend aboard Audigier’s yacht, Gosselin and Glassman lunched at the Tahiti Club before cruising around the bay in a cigarette boat. The pair also went shopping at some of the high-end boutiques around St. Tropez, including Hermes and Prada. “They couldn’t take their eyes off each other,” a friend of Audigier’s tells PEOPLE. “They looked so happy to just be together.” “I feel very relaxed,” Gosselin told PEOPLE during his weekend escape. But, “every ten minutes I keep thinking about the kids and missing them.” A reunion will come soon enough: Gosselin is due back home on Tuesday where he will start filming new episodes of the family’s TLC series, which returns from hiatus on Aug. 3. – Michelle Tan; reporting by Jen Garcia and Dana Kennedy</a><br /><br /><br /><br />I read this article and I just hate to see whats going to become of these children. Granted Kate may be a controlling wife, who is annoyed at everything he does because he would allow those 8 kids to do whatever but geez... u just divorced at least give it some time. Do you think your kids aren't ever going to read this crap? Do you think your kids are going to think... "OH its ok dad, you left cause my mom was so controlling and now u need to be out smoking and chillin' with this young girl?" I can't say that his actions are all just him. Kate has a lot of fault as well but at least if she is seeing someone else she is not being public about it and her kids aren't going to see their mommy making out with a 20-something year old boyfriend. Jon, I useto want to stick up for you but now.... you get on my nerves. You suck and stop thinking your so HOT cause your not. Perhaps you should ask your new girlfriend's father to perform a tummy tuck on ur azz!Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-36158201649692465632009-07-10T11:40:00.003-05:002009-07-10T12:20:54.061-05:00How was your 4th of July?<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sldw4dR7Y5I/AAAAAAAAAn0/ITLapA7qB8M/s1600-h/5970_589870727515_34410182_35325496_564235_n.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356874397015303058" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sldw4dR7Y5I/AAAAAAAAAn0/ITLapA7qB8M/s320/5970_589870727515_34410182_35325496_564235_n.jpg" border="0" /></a> Sup people? It's been a while? How was everyone's 4th of July? I hope ya'll had a great one. I know I did. My girlfriend, Ranya and her boyfriend James were nice enough to invite us to their lake house and party it up for the weekend. We had a blast!!! We did a little of everything. We went to what James and his gang like to call "the beach" Its really not a beach, its a spot on the San Bernard river that is low enough to just chill and hang out. So we did that, some wakeboarding, tubing and of course its not 4th of July if you don't have some "DRANK"...lol Anyhow, thanks James & Ranya for the invite, we had a great time!<br /><br /><br />So here is some more interesting news going on in my world.... As I said before I finally graduated with an Interpreting degree yet I haven't tested :( I've started to study but geez now I know why the failing rate is 80%!! I will continue to study hard before I even dare take that test. I don't want to pay each time I test, I wanna pay one time and pass on the first try. Wish me luck!<br /><br />However, an old teacher of mine has really kept me in the loop for a few side jobs. On August 1st I will be interpreting my first wedding :) I will actually sign a speech the bride and groom prepared, I did ask that I get to review it before the actual wedding day. I would hate to mess up something so special. Now, you would think that's the neat part, right? ...but it gets better!! I will be interpreting an Indian wedding!! I'll get to see all the awesome dresses, jewelry and best of all... the fun bollywood dancing! I can't wait. I wish they would ask me to dress in their traditional dresses cause I've always wanted to wear one! This will truly be an experience.<br /><br />The next day I am doing another project for Dr.Poorna Kushalnagar(the teacher who's giving me the side jobs) I will be assisting with a research she is conducting to find better ways for hearing parents to communicate with their deaf child, at an early age. Most hearing parents don't find out their child is deaf until the age of 1-2 years old. Which means the parents have wasted time trying to learn Sign Language and teach the language to their child as well. Get this though, there will be Hispanic parents who don't speak any English and are trying to learn Sign Language. Not sure how that will work being they don't have the basic understanding of the English language period yet they are trying to learn Sign Language to be able to communicate with their Deaf child. Anyhow, my job will not be easy, I will have to go from speaking English, Spanish and then signing!!! I'm looking forward to it though. This will be my first real interpreting job with pay so that's even more exciting.(aside the learning experience)<br /><br />So everyone wish me luck, as I start to involve myself (a lot more) in the Deaf world!Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-75532563969020820942009-06-26T11:15:00.003-05:002009-06-26T11:40:37.199-05:00Death comes in 3's...errie!<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkT5eSWrhtI/AAAAAAAAAns/hVpvFYapd7k/s1600-h/farrah-fawcett-Anal-Cancer.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351676555941349074" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 230px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkT5eSWrhtI/AAAAAAAAAns/hVpvFYapd7k/s320/farrah-fawcett-Anal-Cancer.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkT5eccheXI/AAAAAAAAAnk/hSNFrIugXxg/s1600-h/Michael_Jackson-Bad-Frontal.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351676558650210674" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkT5eccheXI/AAAAAAAAAnk/hSNFrIugXxg/s320/Michael_Jackson-Bad-Frontal.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkT5eBpvO4I/AAAAAAAAAnc/3QPGpVfxn2Q/s1600-h/mcmahon.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351676551457880962" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 229px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkT5eBpvO4I/AAAAAAAAAnc/3QPGpVfxn2Q/s320/mcmahon.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div>I've heard about this superstitous thing that " Death comes in 3s" I"m not sure what that really means because my father passed away and thank God no one else followed. (a predominately Hispanic Community)I read it and I wasn't sure what to think of it. When I started to read the flyer, I was impressed with the teenager because he was not out selling drugs, breaking into houses or stealing. He was actually trying to create a business and understand the value of a dollar. As I continued to read I was shocked! I had to re-read the sentence. Then I took a bit of offense because of what it said.... Read the flyer below and tell me your opinion? Is this what the kids of today have come to? I grew up on the Jackson family, Stevie B, The Cover Girls, LL Cool J...etc. Then as time passed I started to get into "hip hop". That era I want to call "real hip hop" this is when Whodini, Run DMC, Rob Base, Too Short & more were the real meaning of hip hop. Years went by and rap got a bit more modern.Along the way, rappers like 2Pac, Snoop Dog, Ice Cube, Dr.Dre; were introduced. These rappers produced great songs and some of their hits are classics! Even these new bucks try to imitate them!<br /><br /><br />The music of today is just garbage. I will admit some of these songs are catchy and I'll catch myself singing a tune or two but why does everyone want to sound like a "computer" voice? There is only one person that has produced an entire album w/a computer voice and that is Zap & Roger. One of the greatest albums but again... HE IS A CLASSIC!<br /><br />I have never heard so many songs invented that have a dance to go along with it. From "stanky leg" to "superman" I'm not really sure if I don't get this music because I'm getting older or is it that this generation's music really sucks!!!<br /><br />Anyhow, this morning while I was driving into work, I heard a new song. Yes, another song that has a dance to it, so I thought I'd share this wonderful video!! I'll have to admit, these new artist are smart, they have made catchy songs for teenagers and they are loving it!<br /><br /><br />Check out this video and tell me what you think? The title of the song is "Your a Jerk"!! Am I just old or does this music suck?<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv9VKKXwVxU">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv9VKKXwVxU</a>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-32665050916223391752009-06-22T17:42:00.007-05:002009-06-22T18:04:08.529-05:00Grandma's 71st Birthday & My Disaster Manicure<div>This past weekend we celebrated my grandmother's 71st birthday! We had a blast. It was just us girls having a day of fun! We started at Red Robins for lunch, watched "The Proposal" and then took my grandmother shopping! She most defiantly had a blast. How could she not? She had her favorite girls with her...or at least I like to think we're her favorite...lol I just wanted to share with everyone some great pictures from my grandmother's birthday weekend! Can't wait to celebrate many more!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350287587941830194" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 260px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 321px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkAKNtV0TjI/AAAAAAAAAmk/zJ0EDVBgBlU/s320/DSC06148.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350290826519984914" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 262px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkANKN_BOxI/AAAAAAAAAnE/up10MJvuxQk/s320/DSC06152.JPG" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350290830999154770" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 282px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 210px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SkANKeq78FI/AAAAAAAAAnM/aNlwmKR-3_A/s320/DSC06150.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div></div><div>Now although you can't tell in the picture, my left thumb is a hot mess! I went to my USUAL nail place to get a manicure. I thought I was super cute with my hot pink nails when all of a sudden my left thumb started to hurt! I didn't think much of it, I thought it was just cause the nail lady had cut me or something. Well the next day I wake up with the MOST horrible swollen thumb in the world. I swear I have a high tolerance for pain but this is like way extreme! EXTREME! </div><br /><br /><div>My mom tells me that she pulled a hang nail which caused an infection (nothing fungal) but still an infection! So now I have this TORE UP from THE FLOR UP thumb that I'm so embarrassed for anyone to see. I'm suppose to go volunteer Tuesday and how the heck am I gonna sign with this FAT AZZ finger? It's so not cute. However, lucky for you I'm going to post a pic of my horrific thumb! How bad do you think it is?? </div></div><br /><br /><div></div><div></div><div>It doesn't even look like I got a manicure. We floated the Comal river and then headed to Austin. It was my first time back after 9 years so it was a nice to go back after soooo long. Our hotel was great, with a great view of the city and a fully equipped kitchen.(not that we used it..lol) We partied it up a little...ok a lot and went to this awesome club name "Qua" the dance floor was a fish tank and had baby sharks swimming. It was a bit creepy at first but it was still super cool. Needless to say we got in for free, had free drinks and free shots!...like Misty said "It pays to be a great group of good looking ladies!!" I have to agree! Anyhow, here are a few pics of this past weekend.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348695019142332786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SjphyAPhQXI/AAAAAAAAAmU/JJSMYZauto0/s320/DSC06081.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348695018857378370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 268px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 199px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sjphx_LlMkI/AAAAAAAAAmM/GJfiWHvDSe8/s320/DSC06101.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div></div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348695027137462882" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SjphyeBtQmI/AAAAAAAAAmc/x425UaiPBD0/s320/DSC06107.JPG" border="0" /> It was a great weekend!!!Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-39351712440528154792009-06-03T15:43:00.006-05:002009-06-03T16:32:08.396-05:00Prom 2009Today I received the most hilarious email from my bf's mom. She is running her first marathon this weekend and is leaving for San Diego today, for the big event. She has been preparing for this marathon for some time and has been super discipline as well. She went to the river and not once did she take a sip of any beer or alcohol. While we were all being fat asses and eating all sorts of snacks, she was eating healthy. I need that type of discipline. In addition, she is working on her masters degree, taking 4 classes and still finds time to train. That's some dedication!!<br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Well Les, I really wish you the best of luck. I know you'll do great. We'll be cheering you on all the way from Houston, Texas. Maybe one day I"ll join you. For now I think I'll stick to the half marathon because it just sounds more easy than 26.2...lol I also wish all the other ladies on your team the best of luck. Please take lots of pics and it's celebration time when you get back! So everyone lets wish Leslie and her team GOOD LUCK on their first marathon! </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>To my twin... <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong><span style="font-size:180%;">GOOD LUCK!!</span></strong></span></div><div><span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh6hVXbGYBI/AAAAAAAAAj8/AUY9H01OaE8/s1600-h/Les-halfmarathon"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340883596544991250" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh6hVXbGYBI/AAAAAAAAAj8/AUY9H01OaE8/s320/Les-halfmarathon" border="0" /></a> </strong></span></div><div><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">(completing a half-marathon and now doing it BIG)</span></strong></div>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-29717596394708324162009-05-27T10:50:00.007-05:002009-05-27T15:02:07.091-05:00I'M BACK!<embed style="WIDTH: 400px; HEIGHT: 320px" name="flashticker" align="middle" src="http://widget-13.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" wmode="transparent" flashvars="cy=bb&il=1&channel=72057594050415123&site=widget-13.slide.com"></embed><br /><div style="WIDTH: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: left"><a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=72057594050415123&map=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-13.slide.com/p1/72057594050415123/bb_t046_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide1.gif" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=72057594050415123&map=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-13.slide.com/p2/72057594050415123/bb_t046_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide2.gif" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=72057594050415123&map=F" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-13.slide.com/p4/72057594050415123/bb_t046_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide42.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><br />So I'm finally back from my 12 day vacation. It was a blast. As always the water was gorgeous, beautiful weather and the best thing this year... it was empty! Thanks to Swine Flu many vacationers cancelled their trips which only benefited us :) ! Thank you Swine Flu! Not only did my flight get upgraded but my hotel did too. I went from staying at a 31/2 star hotel to staying in a 5 star hotel, a room w/a HUGE balcony and 24hr room service. Its horrible how the media over did this whole flu thing. It was pretty empty , not many tourist but enough to make the environment pleasant. I only wish I would have booked more days. Next year I'm staying 6days 5 nights instead!!!<br /><br /><br /><br />Due to the amount of people traveling, I wasn't able to take many "What Da" pics. I know, I know... THAT SUCKS!! I was hoping to come back and post a million of them. I managed to grab a few pics. Here they are<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2Yrnc8nEI/AAAAAAAAAjc/bMuqu0aRlSM/s1600-h/blog.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340592608223468610" style="WIDTH: 176px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 245px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2Yrnc8nEI/AAAAAAAAAjc/bMuqu0aRlSM/s320/blog.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Too much tanning<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2YsCP4hwI/AAAAAAAAAj0/FAffsLwUWJE/s1600-h/DSC05687.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340592615416432386" style="WIDTH: 205px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 242px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2YsCP4hwI/AAAAAAAAAj0/FAffsLwUWJE/s320/DSC05687.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2YrklHoPI/AAAAAAAAAjk/lblLsGlalRY/s1600-h/blog2.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340592607452438770" style="WIDTH: 267px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 204px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2YrklHoPI/AAAAAAAAAjk/lblLsGlalRY/s320/blog2.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Topless in Playa... not sure why?<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2Yr118jyI/AAAAAAAAAjs/8jS9d8czS04/s1600-h/DSC05928.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340592612086419234" style="WIDTH: 283px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 197px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sh2Yr118jyI/AAAAAAAAAjs/8jS9d8czS04/s320/DSC05928.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Mexican Michael Jackson... YEST BIT'ET!<br /><br /><br />As if the 5days in Playa wasn't enough, I came back to Houston for 2 days and then back doored it with a trip to the Guadalupe River. This year was fun BUT not as fun as last year. The river was very low, you had to walk about half the time and it basically was a buzz killer! However, it was still fun and we're ready to do it again for Charlie's birthday!!! I don't have my pics from the river yet. I haven't developed the water camera. Oh and on the river I did find someone else's water camera and I'm developing that camera as well..so should be interesting to see what type of pics other folks take. I'll have those pics posted soon!<br /><br /><br /><br />Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend!Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-30989322770442978692009-05-11T16:38:00.003-05:002009-05-11T17:07:35.159-05:00A list of thingsI FINALLY graduated!!! I'm not really sure if I should really announce that considering I'm 27 and just now graduating with an AA degree. Oh well, some of us are on a 10yr plan and I just happen to be one on that ride. Graduation was May 4th but I decided I didn't want to walk for several reasons. Mainly because its an AA degree from HCC and then the absence of my father just doesn't make it as fun. However, I'll be sure to walk when I get my BA degree. Now that's a celebration!! So what's next? Ok so I have a degree in interpreting now the BIG challenge... I have to take the state exam in order to become certified. The exam is 2 parts.... First part is a standard written test that tests your English skills. Don't they know... " MY ENGLESH IS NOT SO GUD LOOKING"...lol We'll see how that goes. Now the 2nd part is a performance test and what that means is I will have to watch a video and voice what the person is signing. Then I will have to listen to a video and sign the the conversation. Passing or failing for that section will depend on my gestures, facial expression and appropriate signing space. If that's not nerve wrecking , I don't know what is! I should have already taken the test but I have been holding off and now that I have time I will be studying hard!!! So everyone wish me luck on my test and on my journey in finding a new job!!!<br /><br />I have 4 days till my trip to Playa Del Carmen!! I'm so super excited. Not to mention this will be Charlie and I's first BIG trip together. (hopefully many more) I can't wait. Now everyone knows what this means, right? I will have my camera ready for all those "what da" pics out there. If you all remember, it was cause of Playa that my blog started. Stay tuned for new pics. Oh did I mention that thanks to Swine Flu there were lots of reservations cancelled so they upgraded us to a 5 star hotel! Wooohooo.... THANK YOU SWINE FLU (but God please don't let me come back contaminated..lol)<br /><br />When I return, I will have 2 days to rest and then our ANNUAL trip to the river will be that Friday!!! I can't wait for that either. I guess you can say I will be looking like a SISTA pretty soon! Better yet, just call me Marquisha! (given to me by Amy..aka Ambiquia)<br /><br />So there you have it... a quick update of all my new events and more to share when I return!<br /><br />Oh and a quick note: My friend Leslie is running her first marathon in May. If you get a chance please check out this link <a href="http://makingcancerhistory.com/PatientStories/BillCrews.html#8">http://makingcancerhistory.com/PatientStories/BillCrews.html#8</a><br /><br />She's doing this all for a good cause. If you or anyone you know can help by donating please visit her page and make a donation here. Even if it's just 10 bux. It will make a difference. Thanks<br /><a href="http://pages.teamintraining.org/txg/rnr09/lrodrigitf">http://pages.teamintraining.org/txg/rnr09/lrodrigitf</a>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-28738305993993832122009-04-30T10:42:00.009-05:002009-04-30T11:12:54.918-05:00What da... in San AntonioThis past weekend I took a trip to San Antonio to party it up at the famous Fiestas. I had a great time, great food and just a lot of fun. However, there is one thing I just couldn't help but to notice.... people out there are so stuck in the early 90's. Now I know, who am I to judge? I'm no beauty queen myself but sometimes you should just know what you CAN and CAN NOT do. So instead of me taking pictures of the event, I decided I would make a " WHAT'DA..." session and take pics of the people! I'll say it again... I know I'm no BEAUTY QUEEN and some may say this is mean but its all out of fun. Its just crazy what you see when you're out of town. And to top it off...its my RAZA!I love my peeps to the end but I still had to call them out... So what do you think? Would these fall under the "WHAT DA'..." category? <div></div><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnLV5gXVtI/AAAAAAAAAik/6U5GgzdjfIQ/s1600-h/whatda-2.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330515211043952338" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 302px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnLV5gXVtI/AAAAAAAAAik/6U5GgzdjfIQ/s320/whatda-2.JPG" border="0" /></a><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330515216221383122" style="WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnLWMywqdI/AAAAAAAAAis/ZHWTaki_wn0/s320/cellulitelegs2.JPG" border="0" /></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMTbDbtOI/AAAAAAAAAi0/F5R2drskKAw/s1600-h/sharpieeyebrows2.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330516268021429474" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMTbDbtOI/AAAAAAAAAi0/F5R2drskKAw/s320/sharpieeyebrows2.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div></div><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMTrTK2LI/AAAAAAAAAi8/TC62VF3DR84/s1600-h/cowboy.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330516272382400690" style="WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMTrTK2LI/AAAAAAAAAi8/TC62VF3DR84/s320/cowboy.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMTo7K4EI/AAAAAAAAAjE/j-NxPHypfHI/s1600-h/asleep.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330516271744868418" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMTo7K4EI/AAAAAAAAAjE/j-NxPHypfHI/s320/asleep.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMT5yfUTI/AAAAAAAAAjM/HMA_VDBrdus/s1600-h/Jeans2tight.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330516276271862066" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMT5yfUTI/AAAAAAAAAjM/HMA_VDBrdus/s320/Jeans2tight.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMT-6i74I/AAAAAAAAAjU/XrPSwReg99o/s1600-h/Seinfeld.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330516277647830914" style="WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SfnMT-6i74I/AAAAAAAAAjU/XrPSwReg99o/s320/Seinfeld.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div></div><div></div>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-86435811395650559232009-04-23T10:05:00.002-05:002009-04-23T11:07:49.877-05:00A Mix of ThingsUpdate on interview story:<br /> So the next morning I get a phone call and guess who it was? Yep, you guessed it, "Tom"! I didn't pick up, I let his <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">azz</span> go to voicemail. He leaves this wanna-be professional voicemail, and it goes a little something like this... " Marisol, I'm sorry we <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">didn't</span> get an opportunity to meet. (and I'm thinking whatever idiot) I was called to attend an unexpected substitute teacher meeting and had to leave. I apologize for not leaving any paper work for you. I was told you spoke to "Pete" and he said that you are motivated to become part of our team.(I'm thinking?? How the hell did I sound motivated? I said I'd keep in touch!!!) I hope to hear from you soon. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience. "<br /><br />Well my earliest convenience has yet to arrive and actually I'm not going to call. So <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Aldine</span>, how about you suck it! <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Ok</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">ok</span>, so its not the district I should be upset at but rather the unprofessional "Tom" they have working there! Oh well....<br /><br />Now, here is a question I have for you all? I was actually asked this question by a deaf person.<br /><br />Why do hearing people love music so much?<br /> I was stuck for a minute when she asked me this question because I LOVE music and how could I get someone to understand why I, MYSELF , love music so much. To a deaf person, they <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">don't</span> get the "big deal" about an AWESOME song on the radio or why we enjoy listening to music so much. My first comment was ... the sounds of the instruments are what makes a song in addition to great lyrics. She still <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">didn't</span> understand what the big deal was or why that was so cool?? I told her that we feel the beat or sometimes we can relate to a song yet her reply was " I feel the vibration of a song and it doesn't make me go crazy for it" With that said, we really <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">didn't</span> get too far. So if you were me....how would you have <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">explained</span> why hearing people love music???<br /><br />Leave your commentPink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-60246272421171181562009-04-17T17:18:00.005-05:002009-04-20T17:00:57.628-05:00First Interview for Sign Language InterpreterSo I got a call from Aldine ISD to come in for a job interview....<br /><br />I never really applied for a position, it sort of all "just happened" I happen to be on an assignment for a deaf woman who was applying for a teachers aide position and I was the assigned interpreter. While I was there the man interviewing asked if I was interested in a job with the school district as an interpreter. I told him I was still an intern but he asked for my contact information anyway. Now that happened in February so I didn't think much of it till I got a call from "Tom"(we'll use this name in place of his real name)<br /><br /><br /><br />When I received a call from Tom, he said he'd like for me to come in and fill out some paperwork so we can get things started and interview. We set up this appointment for Wednesday, April 15 @ 4pm. I asked to leave work early, got my uncle Marvin to review my resume, curled my hair and wore a professional outfit. So here I am, all ready for what I thought would be a GREAT opportunity for me only to find out that good ol' Tom was not in the office but at a "substitute teacher conference" I politely ask the receptionist who else I can speak with because he specifically told me Wednesday @4pm. No one knew what the hell I was talking about. Finally the man who I met in February comes out and talks to me for a bit and takes my resume to the woman over the DEAF EDUCATION DEPARTMENT. He comes back asking where my certificate was?... Again, I politely answered that I was still in school and DO NOT graduate until May and will test in December for my certification(mind you I had repeated the same story like 10x now) At this point I'm really getting irritated. <strong>One</strong> because I used vacation time to go on this interview, <strong>Two</strong> because no one knew what was going on and <strong>Three</strong> I wasted a nice outfit!<br /><br />Anyhow, he proceeds to ask me questions about my college hours, credits ..etc and then he tries to con me into taking a job in his life skills department. Of course, he saw the "expired" certificate I have from like 4yrs ago,(that I got from my old job) and yes I can work with life skill kids but its not what I'm looking for. As we continue our "POINTLESS" conversation, he starts talking about pay. He tells me that if I decide to work with the deaf ed department that I'll only make $10.50 an hour but if I work with the life skills department then I can make up to $11.50. I'm thinking, " Do I jump with glee now or later?" How about NEVER!!! First of all if I'm going to take a pay cut like this its because my job will be in Katy and I will no longer have to pay for toll,(2x a mth=160.00) spend less on gas and less wear and tear on my vehicle! Since obviously driving out to Aldine will not be saving me in none of those things then the experience is not even worth it. I'll have to drive further and for less money. ....<br /><br />With that said, I said thank you for the opportunity. I will be in touch! Well its more like, I will not be in touch with Aldine ISD and I will continue my search for an opportunity in another school district. So everyone keep your fingers crossed and please pray that Katy ISD calls me so I can be closer to home :)Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-69767359277783691992009-04-06T17:09:00.003-05:002009-04-06T17:17:41.392-05:00Count down to Playa Del CarmenThere are 38 days till we go on our trip. You'd figure since I've already been to this place once the excitement would not be as thrilling but I'm actually super excited. Maybe part of the reason is that this will be Carlos and I first real BIG trip. We've done mini trips here and there but nothing like this so it will be super fun. I'm looking forward to it.<br /><br /><br /><div><div><div></div><div>I was hoping to be super thin by now but that too hasn't happened. I'm still working at it so I have a little over a month to keep trying and I hope to at least lose 10lbs. I've been running for some time now so I'm hoping to see results soon. Anyhow... today begins the count down to MY TRIP! I can't wait to be here....</div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sdp_NlzyVhI/AAAAAAAAAhc/dHXw8jC3Lcc/s1600-h/playa%20del%20carmen%20beach.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321705781156009490" style="WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 225px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sdp_NlzyVhI/AAAAAAAAAhc/dHXw8jC3Lcc/s320/playa%2520del%2520carmen%2520beach.jpg" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sdp_SpiVGsI/AAAAAAAAAhs/FMO0AADWZTI/s1600-h/playa-del-carmen-03.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321705868055878338" style="WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/Sdp_SpiVGsI/AAAAAAAAAhs/FMO0AADWZTI/s320/playa-del-carmen-03.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902985204258392742.post-81887896917748393312009-04-03T10:22:00.006-05:002009-04-03T10:35:07.572-05:00My first fallRecently I read about the 5 most common things that happen as a runner. Peeing, pooping and falling are among the 3 most common. Well, I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">experienced</span> one of the 3 and no it wasn't pooping or peeing... I FELL! I fell and ate is so bad that I have a huge bruise on my hand and not to mention a NASTY STRAWBERRY on my knee. I was so embarrassed when I fell. It was in the middle of traffic and to top it off, there were people at the stop sign by where I fell. I stood up quickly, acting as though nothing happened. I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">didn't</span> even want to look at my knees. I pretended as though it didn't hurt. I finally got far enough to take a look at the damage and well lets just say here is the result....<br /><br /><div></div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SdYrc4rc-WI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/3svaKxvRPhs/s1600-h/DSC05201.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320487785035790690" style="WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_B6zw31XTP5I/SdYrc4rc-WI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/3svaKxvRPhs/s320/DSC05201.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>I'm still not sure how I fell but this was truly an embarrassing fall! <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">That's</span> what I get for trying to beat my time. Maybe I should go back to working on distance....<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">lol</span> (what do you think Les?)</div>Pink Platinumhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848630763834881576noreply@blogger.com0
