Over the weekend...

Finally, free time to update my blog. I know, I know... I need to work at it but I'm trying, promise! Here's the latest...........

November 1st: American Heart Association Heart Walk (5k)
In memory of my dad, my sister and I decided to walk in this years heart walk. We gathered up a few folks, 11 to be exact and we walked 5 miles. Our goal was to recruit 15 people but we managed to only recruit 11 (its ok, we'll do better next year) As a team, we raised $800.00 dollars and our team goal was $500.00. Excellent job Team Hector! Although I was new at organizing this event, I was proud of how quickly my team mates pulled together and help raised money. I look forward to participating in next years walk!! I have to praise my team members for getting up so early in the morning on a Saturday(a day we use to relax) and supported our team 100%. A SUPER BIG shout out to Carlos for walking, even though he had strep!!! Now that's LOVE!
Thank you Team Hector for all you hard work!

November 7Th: Charlie & Marisol's Anniversary (3 years)
We reached our 3 year anniversary, something I never imagined in a million years.(for those who know me, they'd agree) I don't want to jinx myself and brag about how great my bf is so I'll briefly say that I"m happy that I have met my puzzle piece. Of course we go through our ups and downs but thankfully more ups than downs!!! I'm happy to say that for the first time I'm super happy in my relationship and DRAMA FREE! No jealous boyfriend or crazy questioning...NONE OF THAT! How much more perfect can it get??? Not to mention, he puts up with my grouchy ways and lets me craft all I want without nagging. (while he plays his x-box, I craft!!) I'm not going to say "hopefully" we'll celebrate many more years but I will say that I will leave our relationship in God's hands so that we CAN celebrate many more years together! Happy Anniversary my pig!

November 8th: MY FIRST CRAFT SHOW!!
I finally found the courage to sell my crafts at an Arts & Craft Show!!! It was a very stressful preparation and many sleepless nights but I enjoyed it very much! The event was at Fallbrook Church and it was great. I'm not going to say it was a success because the church didn't advertise enough and not enough people showed up. However, I wasn't discouraged because people were buying from me more than any other vendor :) So of course that was EXTREMELY encouraging! Not to mention, one lady said that I needed to thank God for those talented hands he gave me. She said I was very creative and had lots of talent and really needed to thank God for that. Little does she know that God and I talk every night! So I do more than just thank him for all the good he brings to my life! I also met a woman there who told me about another craft show going on the 15th of November at DeKaney High School.... I'm glad I met her! So yes, next weekend I will be exhibiting my crafts/jewelry! This craft show is actually advertised in the Houston Chronicle and should have a better turn out! Again, I will be praying so that I can have a successful sell. So to all my blog readers, please say a little prayer for me! I will need it !! I want to thank Carlos and his family for helping me out this past weekend. They were all so supportive and stayed with me the entire time so that I wouldn't be alone. (even my babies, Jojo & Peanut were there to support me)I couldn't have asked for a better support system.(Now do u see why I love my Charlie so much???) My mom of course, stayed up with me almost every night until 2:30 in the morning, helping me prepare for this show! I"m thankful for such a great family!

I'm sad to announce that my partner, Biquia wasn't able to have her crafts delivered to me on time so that we could expose "Mille Fleur" to Houston. Somehow, her package got wet and was sent back to her! What a bummer! I'm hoping her package arrives on time for this Saturday. I have to support my SISTER FROM ANOTHER mother in any way I can! It was her who encouraged me to go for it! Ames, I hope you sent your package already!

Les, I hope ur feeling better and hopefully next time you'll get to join me as well!

I will make it sooner than later. Sorry I have been MIA, my life is NUTS right now. I barely have time to breathe. Take care and hope to craft soon!
